Οι γυναίκες, ακόμη και σήμερα το 2021, συνεχίζουν να βιώνουν τον κοινωνικό
αποκλεισμό και την έκθεση σε όλων των μορφών βίας, αφού υφίστανται
διακρίσεις σε μορφωτικό, οικογενειακό, εργασιακό και κοινωνικοπολιτικό
επίπεδο.
Κατά την περίοδο της πρώτης καραντίνας, οι πρωτόγνωρες συνθήκες
εγκλεισμού ανέδειξαν τις έμφυλες ανισότητες και το φαινόμενο της
ενδοοικογενειακής βίας. Ωστόσο, αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι ο εγκλεισμός δεν
αποτέλεσε την έξαρση του φαινομένου, καθώς το φαινόμενο προϋπήρχε. Η
έμφυλη και ενδοοικογενειακή βία υπήρχε και υπάρχει σε όλα τα επίπεδα της
ζωής και της κοινωνίας μας, όσο όμως περισσότερο αναδεικνύεται τόσο
καλύτερα αποτυπώνεται και μπορεί να καταπολεμηθεί.
Το τελευταίο διάστημα εμφανίστηκε και στην Ελλάδα το κίνημα #Metoo,
φέρνοντας στη δημοσιότητα αρκετά περιστατικά σεξουαλικής παρενόχλησης
και βίας σε διάφορους χώρους. Οι μαρτυρίες αυτές, επιβάλλουν τη συλλογική
προσπάθεια όλων μας για την ενίσχυση της φωνής των θυμάτων και της
αποτελεσματικής υποστήριξής τους, με στόχο την προτροπή και άλλων
θυμάτων βίας να μιλήσουν εφεξής, καθώς και την εξάλειψη αυτών των
φαινομένων. Επιβάλλεται λοιπόν, η ουσιαστική ισότητα των φύλων στην
κοινωνία, αναγνωρίζοντας ότι δεν είναι μόνο η παρενόχληση και τα
σεξουαλικά εγκλήματα, αλλά και η κάθε είδους διάκριση και ανισότητα
απέναντι στο γυναικείο πληθυσμό.
Το 2021 στην Ευρώπη, αφιερώνεται η Ημέρα της Γυναίκας στον παγκόσμιο
αγώνα των γυναικών κατά της κρίσης του covid19, διότι οι γυναίκες
βρίσκονται στην πρώτη γραμμή του αγώνα κατά της πανδημίας. Είναι
γυναίκες που αγωνίζονται καθημερινά σε τομείς υγειονομικής περίθαλψης,
γυναίκες οι οποίες απολύθηκαν από την εργασία τους, γυναίκες οι οποίες
λόγω του εγκλεισμού παραμένουν στις «ασφαλείς» οικίες τους.
