Για την μεγάλη ετήσια αθλητική γιορτή του Αιγαιοπελαγίτικου στίβου δεν απομένουν
παρά ελάχιστες ημέρες από σήμερα.
Μια αθλητική γιορτή που δεν πραγματοποιήθηκε το 2020, για τον ίδιο λόγο (πανδημία
κορωνοϊού) που κι άλλες μεγάλες αθλητικές εκδηλώσεις ματαιώθηκαν και
μεταφερθήκαν το 2021 (όπως οι Ολυμπιακοί αγώνες, Παγκόσμια πρωταθλήματα κ.α).
Στους αγώνες αυτούς μετέχουν αθλητές και αθλήτριες από σαράντα (40) τουλάχιστον
αθλητικά σωματεία των δυο Περιφερειών του Αιγαίου (Βορείου και Νοτίου Αιγαίου).
Οι αγώνες θα διεξαχθέν στη Χίο, στο στάδιο ΧΡΗΣΤΟΣ ΜΑΝΤΙΚΑΣ, η προτομή του
οποίου κοσμεί την είσοδο του σταδίου. Ένας μεγάλος αθλητής του νησιού, με μεγάλες
διεθνείς διακρίσεις (400μ με εμπόδια).
Με εισήγηση του ΣΕΓΑΣ προς το Υπουργείο Ναυτιλίας και τη Γενική Γραμματεία
Αιγαίου, αποφασίστηκε να αφιερωθούν οι 32οι Αιγαιοπελαγίτικοι αγώνες στη μνήμη
του Βασίλη Σεβαστή, του ανθρώπου που αφιέρωσε τη ζωή του για το μεγαλείο του
Ελληνικού στίβου.
Ένας μεγάλος αθλητικός παράγοντας που είχε να προσφέρει ακόμη πολλά, μέσω της
πανηγυρικής εκλογής του στην ΕΟΕ ως εκπρόσωπος της ομοσπονδίας στις αρχές του
τρέχοντος έτους.
Η μετακίνηση των Δωδεκανησιακών αθλητικών αποστολών των σωματείων θα
πραγματοποιηθεί με CATAMARAN της ΔΩΔΕΚΑΝΗΣΟΣ ΝΑΥΤΙΛΙΑΚΗ, μιας "δικής μας"
ναυτιλιακής εταιρείας που έχει εξυπηρετήσει κατ' επανάληψη τις αθλητικές και όχι
μόνον εκδηλώσεις του Νοτιοανατολικού Αιγαίου με τα ταχύπλοα σκάφη του!
Η αναχώρηση θα γίνει το πρωί (08:00) της Παρασκευής (8/10/21) και σταδιακά θα
προσεγγίζει τα λιμάνια της Κω, Καλύμνου, Λέρου, Πάτμου, Σάμου, από όπου θα
επιβιβάζονται οι ομάδες των αντίστοιχων νησιών.
Η άφιξη στο λιμάνι της Χίου υπολογίζεται στις 17:00 της ίδιας ημέρας.
Το σκάφος θα παραμείνει στο λιμάνι της Χίου μέχρι το πρωί της Δευτέρας (11/10),απο
όπου θα αναχωρήσει (08:00) για τη Ρόδο, με ενδιάμεσες προσεγγίσεις στα λιμάνια
που προαναφέραμε.
Στους αγώνες θα παραστεί και η πρόεδρος του ΣΕΓΑΣ κα Σοφία Σακοράφα, μαζί με
άλλα εκλεγμένα μέλη της ομοσπονδίας. Για την ίδια, η αθλητική αυτή γιορτή αποτελεί
μια πρώτης τάξεως ευκαιρία να συναντηθεί με τους αθλητικούς φορείς των
σωματείων του Αιγαίου και να γίνει μια αλληλοενημέρωση, για τις δυσκολίες που
αντιμετωπίζουν σωματεία και ομοσπονδία αυτή τη δύσκολη περίοδο. Παράλληλα θα
συναντηθεί και με τα διοικητικά στελέχη των τεσσάρων(4) Ενώσεων του Αιγαίου με
στόχο την αλληλοενημέρωση.
