Γ. Χατζημάρκος: “Η αποφασιστικότητα, η συνέπεια και η προσήλωση στον τελικό στόχο,

Ολοκληρώθηκε και δόθηκε σήμερα στην κυκλοφορία από την Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου, η
παράλληλη προς την γέφυρα του ποταμού Μάκαρη οδός, στη θέση Χαράκι.
Η κατασκευή της ξεκίνησε τον περασμένο Ιούνιο και περαιώθηκε με ταχύτατους ρυθμούς, σε διάστημα
μόλις δύο μηνών, παράλληλα με την κατασκευή της νέας γέφυρας, έργο το οποίο επίσης προχωρά,
ομαλά και εντός χρονοδιαγράμματος.
Τη νέα παρακαμπτήρια οδό που θα εξυπηρετήσει την κυκλοφορία μέχρις ότου ολοκληρωθεί η
κατασκευή της νέας γέφυρας, επιθεώρησε σήμερα το μεσημέρι ο Περιφερειάρχης Γιώργος
Χατζημάρκος.
Πρόκειται για το ένα από τα τρία παράλληλα έργα που δημοπρατήθηκαν μαζί, μετά την κατάρρευση της
γέφυρας τον περασμένο Νοέμβριο, λόγω των έντονων βροχοπτώσεων, και το πρώτο που
ολοκληρώνεται.
Τα άλλα δύο είναι η μετατόπιση του αγωγού ύδρευσης, ο οποίος παλαιότερα είχε σχεδιασθεί και
κατασκευαστεί να διέρχεται ανάμεσα στα πέδιλα της γέφυρας που κατέρρευσε, καθώς και η κατασκευή
της νέας γέφυρας, που ξεκίνησε επίσης τον περασμένο Ιούνιο και βάσει χρονοδιαγράμματος
προβλέπεται να ολοκληρωθεί εντός 9 μηνών, ούτως ώστε να υπάρξει πλήρης ομαλοποίηση της
κυκλοφορίας πριν από την έναρξη της προσεχούς τουριστικής περιόδου.
Στόχος της Περιφερειακής Αρχής, από την στιγμή κατάρρευσης της γέφυρας, ήταν η ταχύτερη δυνατή
διεκπεραίωση των πολύπλοκων και χρονοβόρων τεχνικών και διοικητικών διαδικασιών, προκειμένου η
νέα γέφυρα να κατασκευαστεί σε χρόνους ρεκόρ για έργα τέτοιας κλίμακας, ώστε η ομαλή ροή της
κυκλοφορίας στον κεντρικό οδικό άξονα του νησιού, να αποκατασταθεί το συντομότερο δυνατόν.
Για την διεκπεραίωση της όλης διαδικασίας, μέχρι την έναρξη κατασκευής του έργου, η Περιφερειακή
Αρχή αναμετρήθηκε με τον χρόνο και κέρδισε το στοίχημα, παρά τις δυσκολίες που δημιούργησε ο
αστάθμητος παράγων της πανδημίας του κορωνοϊού.
Υπενθυμίζεται ότι μέσα σε 87 ημέρες από την κατάρρευση της γέφυρας (25 Νοεμβρίου 2019),
ολοκληρώθηκε η καθαίρεσή της και δημοπρατήθηκε η κατασκευή των τριών παράλληλων έργων. Η
διαγωνιστική διαδικασία με την ανακήρυξη της αναδόχου τεχνικής εταιρείας ολοκληρώθηκε τον
περασμένο Απριλίου και ένα μήνα αργότερα, τέλη Μαΐου δόθηκε η έγκριση για την δημοπράτησή του
από το Ελεγκτικό Συνέδριο. Η κατασκευή των έργων ξεκίνησε στα μέσα Ιουνίου.
Τα έργα χρηματοδοτούνται από πόρους του Προγράμματος Δημοσίων Επενδύσεων Ν. Δωδεκανήσου,
της Περιφέρειας Νοτίου Αιγαίου.
Κατά την επίσκεψή του στη νέα παρακαμπτήρια οδό, ο Περιφερειάρχης, Γιώργος Χατζημάρκος
δήλωσε:
“Είμαι ιδιαίτερα χαρούμενος, γιατί μόλις παραδώσαμε στους Ροδίτες και τους επισκέπτες του
νησιού τη νέα παράλληλη με τη γέφυρα του ποταμού Μάκαρη οδό, στη θέση Χαράκι. Μια παγκόσμια
πανδημία, που μετρά ήδη πέντε μήνες, και ένα ολικό lock down τριών μηνών, που προηγήθηκε, δεν
στάθηκαν ικανά να μας θέσουν εκτός χρονοδιαγράμματος.
Oι σημαντικοί σταθμοί αυτής της διαδρομής:
– 13 Νοεμβρίου, παίρνουμε την απόφαση να κλείσει η γέφυρα για την προστασία της ανθρώπινης
ζωής,
– 25 Νοεμβρίου η γέφυρα καταρρέει, εν μέσω πλημμύρας, ούσα κλειστή, χωρίς την παραμικρή
απώλεια ανθρώπινης ζωής ή τραυματισμό,
– Μέσα σε 87 ημέρες, ολοκληρώνεται η καθαίρεσή της και δημοπρατείται η κατασκευή των τριών
παράλληλων έργων
– 23 Απριλίου ολοκληρώνεται η διαγωνιστική διαδικασία με την ανακήρυξη της αναδόχου τεχνικής
εταιρείας
– Ένα μήνα μετά το Ελεγκτικό συνέδριο εγκρίνει το σχέδιο της σύμβασης
– Μέσα Ιουνίου, ξεκινούν οι εργασίες
– 11 Αυγούστου παραδίδεται στους πολίτες η νέα παράλληλη με τη γέφυρα οδός για την καλύτερη
διευκόλυνση των οδηγών.
