Σε τελική ευθεία περνά από τη ΔΕΡΜΑΕ η ολοκλήρωση της Α΄ φάσης που αφορά στην αποκατάσταση και ανάδειξη του Ροδινιού, με τη μελέτη για την ανάπλασή του να έχει ολοκληρωθεί και να απομένουν οι εγκρίσεις από την Αρχιτεκτονική Επιτροπή και την Εφορεία Αρχαιοτήτων Δωδεκανήσου.
Ο συνολικός προϋπολογισμός του έργου ανέρχεται σε 1.250.000 ευρώ και περιλαμβάνει καθοριστικές παρεμβάσεις αναμόρφωσης της εικόνας του ιστορικού Πάρκου. Η ΔΕΡΜΑΕ περνά σε ολική ανάπλαση της Κεντρικής Εισόδου του πάρκου, οριοθετώντας το και δημιουργώντας μια είσοδο – σήμα αναφοράς για τους επισκέπτες. Ειδικό βάρος έχει δοθεί στη μελέτη φωτισμού ώστε να αναδειχθούν οι, πολιτιστικής σημασίας, πλευρές & μνημεία αλλά και οι φυσικού κάλλους ομορφιές και δυνατά σημεία του πάρκου.
Επίσης η μελέτη πυρασφάλειας και η πεζοδρόμηση με κυβόλιθους των διαδρομών, αποτελούν κομβικής σημασίας στοιχεία της τεχνικής έκθεσης. Πιο συγκεκριμένα στην τεχνική μελέτη προβλέπονται:
1. Ανακατασκευή του υφιστάμενου περιμετρικού δρόμου του πάρκου με κυβόλιθο
2. Ανακατασκευή τμήματος αναλημματικού τοίχου ύψους 3,50μ και σε μήκος περίπου 30μ της όχθης της λίμνης, μετά το παλιό υδραγωγείο
3. Σύνδεση ιταλικού με αρχαίο ελληνικό πάρκο, με την κατασκευή μονοπατιών που οδηγούν στους τάφους των Πτολεμαίων, στα σπηλαιώδη ιερά κτλ
4. Δημιουργία παιδικής χαράς δίπλα στο αναψυκτήριο, το οποίο επίσης συντηρείται για χρήση
5. Διαμόρφωση των εισόδων του πάρκου και νέα πλακόστρωση της εισόδου
6. Αναδιαμόρφωση του χώρου προσέλευσης και στάθμευσης οχημάτων κατά μήκος της νησίδας επί της οδού Ρόδου Λίνδου
7. Τοποθέτηση αστικού εξοπλισμού (ξύλινα περίπτερα, παγκάκια, ημιυπόγειοι κάδοι απορριμμάτων) και ενημερωτικών πινακίδων
8. Ανακαίνιση τουαλετών
9. Ηλεκτρομηχανολογικές εργασίες
Η Β’ Φάση θα αφορά στη διαχείριση και τη λειτουργία του Πάρκου ώστε να αποτελέσει πραγματικά το σημείο συνάντησης όλων των Ροδιτών και των επισκεπτών του νησιού μας. Ένα ζωντανό κύτταρο ιστορίας και πολιτισμού, έναν χώρο άθλησης, συνάθροισης και αναψυχής. Ένα Πάρκο σημείο αναφοράς όχι μόνο στις αναμνήσεις μας. Ένα σύγχρονο «ανοιχτό πολυχώρο» έκφρασης που θα αναδεικνύεται η ιστορικότητά του και η δυναμική του στον χρόνο.
