Άλλο ένα σημαντικό και μεγάλο έργο εγκρίθηκε, από το Υπουργείο Υποδομών και
Μεταφορών, που αφορά τη Χάλκη. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, εγκρίθηκε η δέσμευση του ποσού
των 500.000€, για την υλοποίηση του έργου «Αποκατάσταση και συντήρηση του οδικού
δικτύου του Δήμου Χάλκης».
Πρόκειται για μια ακόμα προσπάθεια αναβάθμισης των ακριτικών νησιών μας, αφού μετά
τους Λειψούς έχει και η Χάλκη την τιμητική της. Την ανάγκη για την αποκατάσταση του
οδικού δικτύου της Χάλκης, είχε τονίσει ο Βουλευτής Δωδεκανήσου, Ιωάννης Παππάς, σε
συνάντηση που είχε με τον Υπουργό Υποδομών και Μεταφορών, Κώστα Καραμανλή.
Για το νησί της Χάλκης έχει εγκριθεί και η προώθηση του προγράμματος ηλεκτροκίνησης,
γεγονός το οποίο έγινε γνωστό κατά την πρόσφατη σύσκεψη του Βουλευτή με τον Υπουργό
Εσωτερικών, Στέλιο Πέτσα.
