Ο πολιτισμός αποτελεί διαχρονικά ένα ισχυρό πλεονέκτημα διαφήμισης των νησιών μας, καθώς καθένα
από αυτά έχει την δική του ξεχωριστή κουλτούρα και παράδοση. Άλλωστε είναι υποχρέωση της
Περιφέρειας Νοτίου Αιγαίου να στέκεται αρωγός στους τοπικούς συλλόγους και τους Δήμους, ώστε να
αναδεικνύεται η διαφορετικότητα στις εκδηλώσεις. Η ποικιλομορφία των δράσεων στα Δωδεκάνησα,
παραμένει ένα ουσιαστικό συστατικό προώθησης του κάθε νησιού ξεχωριστά.
Την Τρίτη 12 Ιουλίου Χρήστος Μπάρδος παραβρέθηκε στην συνεδρίαση του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου
Τήλου, όπου ανακοίνωσε τη στήριξη της Περιφέρειας Νοτίου Αιγαίου στο θεσμό ‘’ΕΛΕΦΑΝΤΕΙΑ
2022’’. Πρόκειται για ένα τριήμερο φεστιβάλ που θα σκοπό έχει την ανάδειξη των τοπικών εθίμων,
χορών και γαστρονομίας. Επίσης, ανακοίνωσε την παράσταση jazz festival, που πραγματοποιήθηκε την
Κυριακή 17 Ιουλίου στη πλατεία του νησιού, με καταξιωμένους μουσικούς.
Στη συνέχεια, επισκέφτηκε το νέο Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Τήλου που η Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου
ενέταξε και κατασκευάζει μέσω προγράμματος ΕΣΠΑ και τον δρόμο προς τον Άγιο Παντελεήμονα, ο
οποίος αποτελούσε αίτημα για πολλές δεκαετίες και επιτέλους θα υλοποιηθεί. Η συνεργασία με τη
Δήμαρχο Τήλου Μαρία Καμμά και την Αντιδήμαρχο πολιτισμού Άννα Καμμά, θέτει τις βάσεις για την
αναβάθμιση των πολιτιστικών δρώμενων στο νησί. Στο διήμερο που ακολούθησε, ο
Αντιπεριφερειάρχης έγινε δέκτης των προτάσεων των ανθρώπων του νησιού, καθώς και της πλήρους
ικανοποίησης όλων στο πρόσωπο του Περιφερειάρχη Γιώργου Χατζημάρκου.
Το Σάββατο 16 Ιουλίου ο Χρήστος Μπάρδος μετέβη στο νησί της Σύμης. Είχε συνάντηση με τον
Δήμαρχο Σύμης Ελευθέριο Παπακαλοδούκα και τον Αντιδήμαρχο Νικήτα Γρύλη. Σχεδιάστηκαν οι
επόμενες πολιτιστικές εκδηλώσεις για το νησί της Σύμης και οροθετήθηκε η πλήρης συνεργασία του
Δήμου με την Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου. Οι κάτοικοι του νησιού εξέφρασαν την ικανοποίηση τους
για την κατακόρυφη αύξηση των επισκεπτών.
Το απόγευμα της ίδιας ημέρας, ο Αντιπεριφερειάρχης παραβρέθηκε στη παρουσίαση βιβλίου της
Δικαίας Μαραβέλια ΄΄Προπονήσεις Λέξεων΄΄. Η συγγραφέας από την Σύμη τίμησε και διαφήμισε το
νησί της για άλλη μια φορά.
Ο Χρήστος Μπαρδος δήλωσε: Είναι σημαντικό και απόλυτα αναγκαίο να συζητάς με τους ανθρώπους
του πολιτισμού στον τόπο τους, γιατί έχεις άμεση εικόνα των δυσκολιών που αντιμετωπίζουν και η
εξεύρεση λύσεων είναι ευκολότερη. Η εντολή του Περιφερειάρχη Νοτίου Αιγαίου Γιώργου Χατζημάρκου
για επανεκκίνηση των δράσεων σε όλα τα νησιά της Περιφέρειας μας, ανεξάρτητα του γεωγραφικού τους
μεγέθους, είναι μια πρόκληση που οφείλουμε όλοι να τηρήσουμε.
