Σύμφωνα με τα πορίσματα της έρευνας για όλη τη χρονιά του 2021, η Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου
είναι η Περιφέρεια με τα καλύτερα αποτελέσματα στην Ελλάδα σε όλους τους δείκτες, τόσο αυτούς
που έχουν να κάνουν με το οικονομικό αποτύπωμα και την ποιότητα του εισερχόμενου τουρισμού
όσο και με αυτούς που έχουν να κάνουν με την προσέλκυση επισκεπτών. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι στην
έρευνα συμμετέχουν όλες οι Περιφέρειες της χώρας και αυτές που έχουν δυνητικά τουρισμό για 12
μήνες τον χρόνο, όπως η Αττική με την πρωτεύουσα.
Πρώτη στις ταξιδιωτικές εισπράξεις με διαφορά της τάξης του 30% από την 2 η Περιφέρεια, το Νότιο
Αιγαίο συμβάλλει με το ένα τρίτο στις συνολικές ταξιδιωτικές εισπράξεις της χώρας
Μεγάλη είναι η διαφορά της Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου από την αμέσως επόμενη Περιφέρεια και
στα τρία μεγέθη της έρευνας, που συνδέονται ευθέως με την ποιότητα του επισκέπτη και την
οικονομική ανάκαμψη του τόπου. Συγκεκριμένα, η Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου έρχεται πρώτη, με
διαφορά της τάξης του 30% από την δεύτερη Περιφέρεια, στις ταξιδιωτικές εισπράξεις,
προσφέροντας στην εθνική προσπάθεια το ένα τρίτο της τουριστικής ευημερίας του 2021.
Αντίστοιχα και στον δείκτης της δαπάνης ανά επίσκεψη ανά Περιφέρεια, στην οποία το Νότιο Αιγαίο
βρίσκεται ομοίως στην πρώτη θέση καθώς και ο δείκτης της δαπάνης ανά διανυκτέρευση με
σημαντική διαφορά από την δεύτερη Περιφέρεια, κατά 13,2% και 17,1% αντίστοιχα.

διδάσκει τουριστική πολιτική που δεν έχει στόχο την αριθμολαγνεία αλλά την ποιότητα και το

προσέλκυσαν περίπου έναν από τους τέσσερις επισκέπτες της Ελλάδας, σημειώνοντας διαφορά
εκατοντάδων χιλιάδων επισκεπτών από την αμέσως επόμενη Περιφέρεια. Τέλος, την πρώτη θέση
κατέλαβε με διαφορά και στον αριθμό των διανυκτερεύσεων.
