Χθες το βράδυ έγιναν στη νέα πτέρυγα του «Νεστορίδειου» Μελάθρου, τα εγκαίνια
της έκθεσης ποδηλάτου της Historica. Τα παλιά ατσάλινα ποδήλατα, τα αξεσουάρ
τους, τα δημοσιεύματα εκείνης της εποχής για τις μεγάλες «δόξες» της ποδηλασίας
και εικόνες που συνδέουν την… ποδηλατική Ρόδο του χθες με το σήμερα, είναι
ορισμένα από τα εκθέματα της έκθεσης, που θα είναι ανοιχτή μέχρι και το προσεχές
Σάββατο. Το «παρών» έδωσαν ο χωρικός Αντιπεριφερειάρχης Χρήστος Ευστρατίου,
ο Αντιπεριφερειάρχης Κάλλιστος Διακογεωργίου, ο πρόεδρος του Δ.Ο.Π.Α.Ρ.
Αλέξανδρος Κολιάδης, ο αντιδήμαρχος τουρισμού Θανάσης Βυρίνης, ο πρόεδρος της
Τ.Ε. Ποδηλασίας Γιάννης Παπασταματάκης, ο πρόεδρος στο «Νεστορίδειο»
Μέλαθρο Σέργιος Αϊβάζης, ο Σάββας Διακοσταματίου από την πρωτοβάθμια
εκπαίδευση, ενώ στη συνέντευξη Τύπου βρέθηκαν και πολλοί φίλοι του παλιού
ποδηλάτου. Αξίζει να σημειωθεί ότι στα εγκαίνια της έκθεσης βρέθηκε και ο Τούρκος
πρόξενος στη Ρόδο Atif Sekercioglu. Οι τρεις διοργανωτές (Γιώργος Βογιατζής,
Μιχάλης Καρπαθάκης, Νεμρά Μπάστιαλη) εξήγησαν τη σημασία της Historica στη
Ρόδο, αλλά και μίλησαν για το μεγάλο τους όνειρο, που αφορά τη συγκεκριμένη
διοργάνωση στο νησί. Παράλληλα, προβλήθηκαν σε βίντεο στιγμιότυπα από τις δύο
παλαιότερες Historica (2018, 2019), ενώ μίλησαν για το σπουδαίο ποδηλατικό event,
οι προσκεκλημένοι από την Περιφέρεια Νοτίου Αιγαίου και τον Δήμο Ρόδου.
ΣΗΜΕΡΑ Ο ΔΙΑΣΥΛΛΟΓΙΚΟΣ ΑΓΩΝΑΣ
Σήμερα στις 19:30 θα γίνει στο ποδηλατοδρόμιο της Ρόδου, ο διασυλλογικός αγώνας
πίστας που διοργανώνει ο Ποδηλατικός Όμιλος Ρόδου «Ιβίσκος» και εντάσσεται στο
καλεντάρι της Ελληνικής Ομοσπονδίας Ποδηλασίας. Παράλληλα στο
ποδηλατοδρόμιο θα βρεθούν παλιές μεγάλες δόξες της ποδηλασίας, που θα έχουν την
ευκαιρία να βρεθούν στο χώρο, όπου έγραψαν τη δική τους ξεχωριστή ιστορία.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
