Με τον Πρόεδρο της Κοινότητας Σορωνής, κύριο Μπονιάτη και τον
Αντιπεριφερειάρχη Νοτίου Αιγαίου, κύριο Ευστράτιου, επικοινώνησε
ο Βουλευτής Δωδεκανήσου Ιωάννης Παππάς, για την φωτιά που έχει
ξεσπάσει στην Σορωνή.
Ο κύριος Παππάς, αντιλαμβανόμενος την αναγκαιότητα συνδρομής
περισσότερων μέσων πυρόσβεσης για την αντιμετώπιση της
πυρκαγιάς, επικοινώνησε με τον Υπουργό Κλιματικής Κρίσης και
Πολιτικής Προστασίας, κύριο Χρήστο Στυλιανίδη και τον Αρχηγό του
Πυροσβεστικού Σώματος, Αντιστράτηγο Αλέξιο Ράπανο, από τους
οποίους ζήτησε την αποστολή δύναμης για να αντιμετωπιστεί η
φωτιά.
Άμεσα αποστέλλονται στη Ρόδο δύο αεροπλάνα τύπου Canadair, για
να συνδράμουν τις προσπάθειες των τοπικών πυροσβεστικών
μέσων και να αντιμετωπίσουν την πυρκαγιά που απειλεί τη Σορωνή.
