Στο πλήρως αναβαθμισμένο Δημοτικό Γήπεδο του Δήμου Νισύρου πραγματοποιήθηκε το πρωί της Κυριακής 20/12/2020 αγιασμός με όλα τα προβλεπόμενα υγειονομικά μέτρα παρουσία του Αρχιμανδρίτη Νισύρου π. Στέφανο Καλλιστή, του Δημάρχου Νισύρου καθώς και μελών του Δημοτικού Συμβουλίου, του Διοικητή της ΔΑΝ Νισύρου ταγματάρχη κ. Αντώνη Καμπίλαυκου, του προέδρου του συλλόγου «Πολυβώτης» κ. Νίκο Λογοθέτη και μελών του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου.
Ολοκληρώθηκε το έργο που αφορούσε την τη συντήρηση και πλήρη αναβάθμιση του Δημοτικού Γηπέδου του Δήμου Νισύρου συνολικής δαπάνης 291.028,00 ευρώ με φορέα χρηματοδότησης το πρόγραμμα ΦΙΛΟΔΗΜΟΣ II του Υπουργείου Εσωτερικών στο πλαίσιο της Πρόσκλησης ΙV «Κατασκευή, επισκευή και συντήρηση αθλητικών εγκαταστάσεων των Δήμων».
Συγκεκριμένα, έγινε αντικατάσταση 5.600τμ. συνθετικού χλοοτάπητα προδιαγραφών FIFA QUALITY Ή FIFA QUALITY PRO, πλήρως εξοπλισμένου µε τέρματα, προστατευτικά στρώματα και πάγκους αναπληρωματικών επίσης προδιαγραφών FIFA καθώς και ανακατασκευή της υπάρχουσας περίφραξης μεταβλητού ύψους 4-6µ. Ο συνθετικός χλοοτάπητας είναι αποδεκτός από την FIFA και κατ’ επέκταση από την ΕΠΟ, καθώς μπορεί να προσομοιώσει σε πολύ μεγάλο βαθμό τον φυσικό χλοοτάπητα. Είναι τελευταίας γενιάς και αποτελείται από νήµατα πολυαιθυλενίου όμοια µε φυσικό γρασίδι που συγκρατούνται σε µία ειδική βάση. Προσομοιάζει σε ένα καλά συντηρημένο φυσικό χόρτο, έχει μεγάλη αντοχή στο χρόνο, χωρίς να έχει ανάγκη συντήρησης, ενώ παρέχει σταθερότητα και διαθέτει υπόστρωμα αποστράγγισης του νερού. Είναι φιλικό στο περιβάλλον και τον χρήστη, έχει UV προστασία, εξαιρετική ανθεκτικότητα στις δύσκολες καιρικές συνθήκες και είναι κατάλληλο για συνεχή, βαριά και επίπονη χρήση από τους αθλούμενους.
Για την αποστράγγιση του γηπέδου από τα όμβρια ύδατα, τοποθετήθηκαν σωλήνες αποστράγγισης διπλού δομημένου τοιχώματος υψηλής ποιότητας Πολυαιθυλενίου (HDPE) βάση των ευρωπαϊκών προτύπων ΕΝ ISO 9969 – DIN 4262-1 οι οποίες θα καταλήγουν σε φρεάτια που φέρουν μαντεμένιες χυτοσίδηρες σχάρες.
Τέλος, πραγματοποιήθηκε και η πιστοποίηση του γηπέδου ποδοσφαίρου από κλιμάκιο πιστοποιημένου εργαστηρίου της παγκόσμιας Ομοσπονδίας Ποδοσφαίρου (FIFA) για την κατηγορία FIFA QUALITY που μετέβη στη Νίσυρο από το Λονδίνο την περασμένη εβδομάδα και έκανε αυτοψία στον αγωνιστικό χώρο.
Ο Δήμαρχος σε σύντομο χαιρετισμό, ευχαρίστησε θερμά όλους για την παρουσία τους και αναφέρθηκε στη σημασία της ολοκλήρωσης αυτού του έργου για τον αθλητικό σύνδεσμο ποδοσφαίρου της Νισύρου καθώς και την κάλυψη των αθλητικών δραστηριοτήτων γενικότερα στο νησί μας. Η αναγκαιότητα επισκευής του γηπέδου ήταν επιτακτική καθότι οι φθορές ήταν εμφανείς και δυσχέραιναν τις προπονήσεις και την διεξαγωγή αγώνων της ομάδας. Ευχαρίστησε όλους όσους συνέβαλλαν στην υλοποίηση του έργου έως σήμερα, ιδιαίτερα την Οικονομική Υπηρεσία του Δήμου. Ειδική μνεία έκανε στους δύο εμβληματικούς προέδρους του συλλόγου «Πολυβώτης», τον αείμνηστο Μανόλη Σταυριανό (Σεβδαλή) και τον Βαγγέλη Ιντζέ, και τους αφιέρωσε αυτό το σημαντικό για τους νέους του νησιού μας έργο.
Η Δημοτική αρχή για άλλη μια φορά σταθερή στις υποσχέσεις της παραδίδει ένα νέο έργο. Ο αθλητικός Σύνδεσμος «Πολυβώτης» θα έχει στην διάθεσή του ένα αναβαθμισμένο γήπεδο το οποίο δεν θα έχει καμία σχέση με τα προηγούμενα χρόνια. Στους επόμενους μήνες θα κατασκευαστεί γήπεδο τένις δίπλα στο γήπεδο ποδοσφαίρου και θα αναμορφωθεί ο χώρος εισόδου στις αθλητικές εγκαταστάσεις.
Στόχος μας είναι να προσφέρουμε στη Νίσυρο και στην τοπική κοινωνία. Να αλλάξουμε όψη, να συντηρήσουμε τα υπάρχοντα και να χτίσουμε νέα με σεβασμό στην αισθητική και το περιβάλλον. Ο κόπος μας διαρκής με μόνη αμοιβή την εμπιστοσύνη του κόσμου η οποία ως κινητήριος δύναμη μας επιτρέπει να συνεχίζουμε και να οραματιζόμαστε το μέλλον.
