Με την παρουσία του Δημάρχου Ρόδου Αντώνη Καμπουράκη των αντιδημάρχων Στέφανου Δράκου και Τηλέμαχου Καμπούρη και φυσικά με τον πρόεδρο του ΔΟΠΑΡ Αλέξανδρου Κολιάδη, συνδιοργανωτή, πραγματοποιήθηκε σήμερα 19 Απριλίου η τελετή έναρξης του 8ου διεθνούς ποδοσφαιρικού τουρνουά των Ιπποτών , The Cup of Rhodes Knights.
Πραγματικά αυτό που έζησαν όσοι παραβρέθηκαν στο δημοτικό στάδιο Ρόδου ήταν κάτι παραπάνω από εντυπωσιακό. Ιδιαίτερα δε, η παρουσία των freestylers Αλεξ Πιτσαλίδη, Αντριου Χέντερσον και Τζόκα Μπονίτο έδωσε μια ιδιαίτερη νότα στην τελετή. Οι μικροί ποδοσφαιριστές οι οποίοι εντυπωσιάσθηκαν από τις ποδοσφαιρικές – ζογκλερικές ικανότητές τους πραγματικά έδειξαν ξετρελαμένοι και φυσικά ζητούσαν να φωτογραφηθούν μαζί τους μετά το τέλος της όμορφης παράστασης που έδωσαν.
Στην συνέχεια ο ξυλοποδαρός αλλά και ο μοναδικός τεχνίτης της φωτιάς έκανε τη νύκτα μέρα. Το κλου της βραδιάς ήταν τα υπέροχα πυροτεχνήματα που φώτισαν τον Ροδίτικο ουρανό αφήνωντας άφωνους τους μικρούς μας φίλους.
Τα χειροκροτήματα από τους γονείς των παιδιών ήταν τα καλύτερα συγχαρητήρια στους διοργανωτές που πραγματικά έδωσαν και την ψυχή τους ώστε όλοι οι περίπου 2.000 φίλαθλοι να μείνουν απόλυτα ικανοποιημένοι.
Να σημειωθεί ότι μετά την παρέλαση διαβάστηκε ο όρκος – υπόσχεση του ποδοσφαιριστή για καλό και όμορφο παιχνίδι στο πλαίσιο του Fair Play. Τον όρκο διάβασε ο μικρός ποδοσφαιριστής Γιάννης από την ομάδα του Κλεάνθη.
Πλέον ξεκινούν τα παιχνίδια στα γήπεδα και η οργανωτική επιτροπή εύχεται σε όλα τα παιδιά να έχουν υγεία χωρίς τραυματισμούς και να παίξουν για να χαρούν το ποδόσφαιρο δείχνοντας παράλληλα τις ικανότητές τους .
