Ιδιαίτερα σημαντική θεωρείται η αυριανή επίσκεψη στην Eλλάδα του Ιταλού υπουργού Εξωτερικών, Λουίτζι Ντι Μάιο, και η συνάντηση που θα έχει με τον Νίκο Δένδια.
Αθήνα και Ρώμη έχουν δύο ανοιχτά ζητήματα τα οποία θα γίνει προσπάθεια να κλείσουν κατά τη διάρκεια των αυριανών συζητήσεων. Πρόκειται για την οριοθέτηση θαλασσίων ζωνών μεταξύ Ελλάδας και Ιταλίας αλλά και για το ζήτημα που προέκυψε την προηγούμενη εβδομάδα αναφορικά με τους Ιταλούς που θέλουν να επισκεφθούν την Ελλάδα για το καλοκαίρι.
Παράλληλα, ο Έλληνας υπουργός Εξωτερικών θα θέσει στον Ιταλό ομόλογό του το ζήτημα της τουρκικής προκλητικότητας στην Ανατολική Μεσόγειο καθώς είναι ειλημμένη απόφαση της ελληνικής κυβέρνησης να διεθνοποιήσει το ζήτημα καθιστώντας το ευρωτουρκική και όχι ελληνοτουρκική διαφορά.
